Well it is official our little Viking is now one! We celebrated his birthday with a few family members and friends.  We did a ‘How to Train a Dragon’ theme party; as it is all about Vikings and Everett is our little Viking. We ordered Viking helmets instead of party hats, but they did not make it here in time L so I guess we will have to do the same theme next year! He had a cake with figurines on it for his guests and a Winnie the Pooh cake with a Viking helmet all to himself.

He was a little lame when it came to eating the cake.  He was very well behaved. He just gently scraped the icing off and ate it, with just his one finger. Then Aunty Bridgette gave him a spoon and he was a little more excited. He also liked to be fed.

Everett loved all of his wonderful gifts… thank you everyone! He got lots of great toys, outfits and books, and his big gift which lots of people contributed to was a big train table! It is awesome; it keeps him very busy and is helping him to learn a lot of new skills.

The biggest skill attributed to the table is that he is able to pull himself up and walk around the table very very well. He loves to walk holding hands and is getting very good. He is very reluctant to let go of those hands though.  He is extremely fast at crawling now! It is super adorable though, because he will not put his right knee down. So he crawls on one knee and one foot. Occasionally he will drop the second knee for a second or two, but only on carpet!

All of this moving is thinning him out. Last time we were at the doctors he only weighed 22lbs 5oz down from 25lbs! we are all going to need to start crawling around with him more J

Some other new skills are clapping, waving saying mom (not mommy or mama) dada, ya and no. and he goes on and on with stories in his own language. And will stand on his own for a couple seconds, about 15.

Everett is really enjoying walks in his sled, swimming, putting things in and out of drawers and anything else that he can find, including toilets! Everett’s favorite thing is probably music though! He loves playing guitar, drums, and the piano. He only likes to eat what we are eating now, being out and about, flirting with ladies, and playing with friends.

We love our little man and are so happy to share the pictures with all of you. We are so happy to have had a whole year with Everett and love him to bits. We are so excited to share many more beautiful birthdays with Everett!
