11 Month Old!

Hello All,
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season.  We enjoyed ours, spending our first Christmas with Everett. He was a delight, he loved his gifts, especially if they came in a box!
We were able to spend Christmas with Grandma Lauen and the family, and Grandpa and Amma Charlebois, plus visits with other family and friends.  We did miss some of our family, and wish we would have been able to see everyone.
Everett really seemed to be getting the hang of opening gifts by the end. He was incredibly spoiled… thank you again to everyone!
Everett now has four teeth with another two shortly behind.
Everett still is not crawling, but is able to get himself easily onto his stomach, move backwards and then scream for us to pick him up! It gets old very quickly.
He is able to sit himself up now, but would prefer us to lift him. The only time he really sits up himself, is when he is in his crib in the morning. He sits up and then faces the door and yells till we get him! He can pull himself up to standing though, and loves it. He likes to stand and bounce a bit. He is getting better at balancing and taking a few assisted steps, but I am not guessing that he will be walking any time soon.
Everett is talking lots, his favorite word is “ya”. It even seems like he knows how to use it. You can ask a question and he will almost always answer “ya”. He has other words to. Dada lots, Deh for dogs, Mama, once and a while. And other random combinations of letters, that surely mean something to him. His best use of communication is pointing. He is very adamant about his points, if either means he wants something or he wants you to bring his to something.
Everett Loves T.V, especially the newest D.Q commercial. And cartoons, and any music.
Everett is incredibly musical. He loves to drum, it is hilarious. He also likes to sing, he is really exploring his voice, and likes to hold notes. If music comes on, he even tries to sing along to certain songs.
Everett loves all of his toys. One in particular is his Wii drums. He loves them. We can’t wait to get him a real set one day. He also really like trucks and balls, he is a very typical boy!
He is very rammy and when he gets frustrated he likes to throw things and hit. He does not like to be told “no” or have things taken away from him. He is getting a tiny bit better though. He also has a new face. When he gets mad he gets this certain face. I am sure it only makes him more mad, because we cannot help but laugh at it. It is so cute!
Everett is almost 1 and we can’t believe how fast it has gone by… so we are eagerly awaiting our niece, Gurines sister and our niece or nephew, as Alexander is going to be a big brother.
Love from the Lauens, and hugs and big sloppy kisses from Everett.
