October - 8 Month Old!!

Well Everett is getting older and older by the day, He is such a delight, we love him so much and really enjoy having him around he is such a blast.

Everett had a big month. He got a great visit from Alexander and Auntie Jamie for almost a week, and Uncle Kevin for only a day!:-( We celebrated Alexander's second birthday Auntie Jamie's 32nd birthday and my 25th. We also celebrated thanksgiving. We had a wonderful meal at Grampa and Amma's house with Auntie Lindsey, Uncle Stephan, Auntie Leah, Uncle Curtis Auntie Jamie and Alexander, . Then we had a terrific Turkey dinner at Auntie Denise's with the whole gang and The Wrights. Everett tried mashed potatoes for the first time at aunties and really liked them. Then we had another awesome turkey dinner with the Lund family and friends at Candle lake.

Everett loved his time with Auntie Jamie and Alexander, it was good timing too because mommy and Everett were really sick, so it was so nice to have extra help. In a very strange way i could see why some people choose polygamy! *kidding* it was great though, we miss them already.
At the lake Everett could not get enough of his cousin Colton, he would scream all excitedly at him and laughed at anything he did!

Everett has his first ear infection and a nasty cold. he is on drugs so we are hoping he will be better soon, he is so sweet though, despite the pain he still tried really hard to be happy.  Mommy has been really sick with the same cold, going on 3 weeks, i already called in sick once and left early twice (i hate doing that). Papa is getting sick to, so hopefully one of us gets better soon.

Everett now has two teeth, they are so cute and little, and well he still does not roll and the crawling thing seems extremely far away, as soon as he is on his tummy he cries. Everett also has been in daycare and the sitter is doing great with his, she is learning his cues and he now naps there, so this is great. she also takes care of two one year old's so Evie will learn a lot from them. we really like her. Everett's newest and cutest thing; is hugs. he now iniciates and tries to get hugs, they make mommy melt! they are precious. he says lots of things like; mama, dada, baba, agg, and all that good stuff, they are not directed at anyone or anything yet. we have also come to the conclusion that Everett may be just to content to crawl. when he is playing with toys and they are too far away he does not try to get it and he does not ask us to get it, he just moves on and plays with something new. It is really adorable. Everett is also really into playing shy, he smiles big and then throws his head down, he knows that people love it so he does it all the time!

Mommy is really enjoying her practicum (it would help if i were not so sick) but i am learning a ton and love it. Papa is still working hard at school wen he has time to do homework while taking care of Everett full time, and he is still working casual at sasktel security. Mike and I had our 6 year anniversary - we were both sick so we watched hockey night in canada *whoop whoop*! but Mike surprised me with Anberlin tickets (one of our favorite bands) so we will be going to that on wednesday! i am pumped, but hate being away from Everett. Although he loves people so much i don't feel so bad.

We had Everett weighed and measured today. he is not as big as he was, which is shocking because he looks way bigger he weighs 22lbs 11.5oz he is the 82% and he is 28" the 55%. i really think that the height is wrong, because he is so much bigger than other babies and people never seem to believe me when i say he is 8 month!
So all and all a busy house and loving every moment with Everett. Love from the Lauens!
